I Had One But The Wheels Fell Off


I saw a car on the side of the freeway a few weeks ago and every few days,
another wheel was missing. After a week, the chassis was on blocks and all the
wheels were gone. Life can feel like that sometimes.
Have the wheels fallen off your life?
Or does it feel as though someone has stolen the wheels?
From time to time it can seem that your life has derailed and is either spinning
out of control or is stuck up on blocks and going nowhere.
I used to feel like that about my life – I was depressed and unmotivated,
wondering how things were ever going to change. I believed that my wheels had
been stolen and I’d never get them back.
I blamed other people for my situation and was completely disempowered. I
was a victim.
How can you get the wheels back on so you can move forward again?
Things changed for me when I discovered NLP and Life Coaching and started to
take back my power. I looked at the areas of my life that were good and took
time to appreciate the gifts and joys I already had.
Then I started working on the areas that weren’t working as well as I wanted
them to. This involved going back to my childhood and sorting out negative
emotions and limiting beliefs I had about my parents and my upbringing. It
took a concentrated effort but I had decided to change.
When you make the decision to change now, you find that help comes to you.
This help can be in the form of different people, books, conversations or
situations. When the help is offered, you need to take action to get a result.
Once you take action, check to see what’s happening. If it’s good, keep doing what
you’re doing. If you don’t like the result, do something different but keep taking
action.
Remember, if you keep doing what you’ve always done (and that includes doing
nothing), you’ll get what you’ve always got.

So, do you have all your wheels?
Maybe there’s only one missing so all you need to do is tweak your life a bit to
restore the missing wheel. Or perhaps it feels as though there are no wheels at
all. That will take more work to get you moving again. You may have to go right
back to the past and take a good look at what happened there that has caused
you to feel ‘wheel-less’ now.
