Okay, you’re living the dream, you’re on fire in your career, your personal life is
awesome, you’re achieving everything you ever dreamed of and then…
Do you ever lose your motivation, even though you know you’re doing what you’re
meant to do, even though you absolutely love what you do and everything about
Just every so often, we can lose momentum and suddenly slip back into old
thought patterns and ‘victim mode’.
Sometimes it seems as though we’re being tested on how much we really want
our dreams and goals. Things go wrong, people don’t turn up for appointments
which means we lose money, family crises arise to prevent us doing something
we had planned to do, bills arrive with monotonous regularity and so life goes on.
It can be really frustrating and demoralizing when these things happen and it can
cause us to question ourselves and where we’re headed in our lives and careers.
So how do you get your mojo back?
How do you refocus and regroup after you’ve had a setback?
For me, when I feel a little discouraged, I get some Life Coaching and NLP to
get me back on track. It never fails and I always learn something new along the
way. I absolutely refuse to play the wallow game, I’ve worked too hard and come
too far to lose momentum.
When you find yourself slipping into Effect (Blame) mode and not taking charge
of your life, take note and DO NOT allow this to continue. It will not serve you in
any way, it’s totally disempowering and pointless to blame all and sundry for
the events in your life that are not ideal at the moment.
Whatever is not going well for you is your responsibility and it’s up to you to
take control and make your life the way you want it to be. Certainly, some events
are beyond your control but the way you deal with these events is completely up
to you. You can wallow or you can learn and move on…it’s your choice.
Are you going to be defined by the pain in your life or will you take charge now
and make every event count in the best possible way?
Far better to be defined by your strengths and positive attributes than by your
dramas and negativity.
Blame the Universe if you like but it won’t help you move forwards and live a
vibrant and joyous life. The only way to be who you want to be and who you
really are is to be ‘At Cause’ in your life. Take control and create the life of your
dreams and if that means asking for help and getting some Life Coaching and NLP,
then do so.
